How many pairs of shoes do you have in your closet? Be honest…

How often are we in the store and need to find shoes to go with that perfect outfit in the closet? Well the company Ishuu may have a solution to our endless racks of shoes in our closets ladies; the Volvorii Timeless Smart High Heel shoe.

Think about it, one shoe to go with every outfit instead of one shoe to go with every outfit
This shoe’s design and color scheme can be controlled via an app. Can you imagine, having one shoe that matches everything?? This is fashion meets technology in a good way, because as we know that doesn’t always go well. So how does this work? The shoe has embedded electronic paper display and Bluetooth LE module, and wireless charging. There are also to fasteners on the front and back of the shoe for adding on additional accessories. The company hopes to open an online shop where you can buy add-ons for the shoe and where vendors can sell additional accessories as well.

The company is based out of Vilnius, Lithuania. They are raising funds on IndieGoGo with just 23 days left in the campaign. They’ve raised over $16,000 of their $50,000 goal. You can contribute $249 and get you a pair of Volvorii Timeless shoes before they go to retail at $499. The shoe is also Dragon Innovation certified. Meaning the smart heel has been certified by a third-party for design and manufacturing and passed.

Fashion and Technology…perfect match or nah?

So I know I am not the only one who has noticed that the as wearable technology evolves, that there is the push by companies to make it more visually appealing.  Gucci is partnering with Will.I.AM on new smart band.  Yes you heard me Gucci.  The device will be able to make calls, send text messages and do social media all without having to have any kind of connection to a phone.  Should partnerships like this be more common since fashion is fashion and technology is technology?  Honestly, the technology itself, be it a smart watch, shoe, glasses or other technology, is the hard part but what makes us as consumers want to wear it or buy it?  Does adding more colors, fabrics or other accessories to wearable technology make it more appealing?  Thoughts? Will you be buying a smart shoe or other wearable technology?
