Singer Syleena Johnson pushes forward with career in spite of uncertain future with TV One’s R&B Divas: Atlanta. Busy with a new album and upcoming spot on We TV’s Marriage Boot Camp, Johnson has her hands quite full.

Chapter 6: Couple’s Therapy, which was released last Tuesday, is Johnson’s latest installment in her musical series which began in 1990. The sultry soul sista is excited to announce her new label home E-One music based in DC– Traci Braxton is also her labelmate. This album boasts production from Atlanta-based producer Pierre “The Maven” Medor and Chris “Cajun” Johnson.
This weekend, Johnson performed some of her new music at New York City’s SOB’s and her R&B Divas castmate Monifah came out to show her love.

Johnson also threw out there in our one-on-one that her and her husband is on the upcoming season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Season 2 set to premiere in January 2015. She says this show was one of the best things she could’ve done for her marriage, because her and husband always seek self-improvement with specialists.

I applaud her strategic marketing and keeping her name and music relevant.

What do you think of Chapter 6? Will you tune into the Marriage Boot Camp?
