PoshTude Fashion Closet launched their ‘Summer 2013 Fashion Trunk Party’ Saturday, July 27th. The event saw a great turnout and was a huge success.  Performing artists, sponsors, and vendors, all which are owned by young, African American entrepreneurs in the DC Metropolitan area, were in attendance for this very comfortable and exclusive fashion affair.

Some of the designers at the event were Jammie Lucas of Harlei & Marisa Co., Airelle Dawson of Akeletically Uniik, and Anisha Collins of Dot Lous. The models were taken care of with some of the best companies in the metropolitan area. Splash of Beauty Cosmetics by Tia Hinds of Largo, MD, Deja Styles and Styles by Lo backed the show and provided amazing hair and makeup services. With sponsors ranging from Wrap Savy by Mekeda to The Womanly Curve Magazine, the trunk show gained support from many local and nationally known companies.

The trunk show not only took orders after the show, it provided an opportunity for local designers, stylists and makeup artists to be a part of the event. For every trunk show, there will be a diverse group of designers to ensure a fresh experience for everyone in attendance.

PoshTude began its brand and fashion line July 2011, with the goal to soon acquire a store front and expand into other markets. “The trunk shows are a great way to convey the potential stores ambiance, as well as PoshTude’s customer service”

PoshTude’s first trunk show was last November. “This show in particular though we really wanted to push the envelope by being creative, and showing what PoshTude has the potential to be as a brand, as a business, and a lifestyle”, states Caitlin.

Trunk shows take place twice a year, one for the Spring/Summer season and another for the Fall/Winter season. You can expect to see a host of diverse designers, specialty fashion buyers, socialites, and corporate sponsors every time. This is not the last time you will experience amazing things from PoshTude. Website updates are expected to begin this month with Fall 2013 previews.
