Ok, I posted the link to Jojo’s mixtape Tuesday and told you guys I’d come back with a review. I LOVE IT! Point blank period! Great production, chilling instrumentation and strong vocals. Can’t Take That Away From Me is certainly a solid project and has me anxiously awaiting the follow-up album. Her ballads like “Just A Dream” and “Boy Without a Heart” are encouraging, and more up-tempo dance tracks like “Can’t Take That From Me,” “Pretty Please” and “All I want is Everything” are tracks that you can blast in your car stereo and just feel her soul. My favorite track upon first listen has to be “In the Dark.” It makes me want to choreograph a floor routine or give a chair dance to my boo or something. Such a sexy and suggestive track, with a mellow and cool vocal performance.
