Make it LIVE! is a totally new experience for the poetry lover in the DMV!
This open mic event is the brainchild of local tastemaker Dominique Wilkins of Wilkins Strategic.
The event, set against the soundtrack played by a live acoustic band, will feature performers and open mic participants baring their souls. At the same time a live painter is set to capture the essence of the evening. There is no central stage to focus on allowing performers’ words to spread throughout the gallery as the audience enjoys complimentary wine.

Wilkins’ goal is to invigorate the spoken word experience unlike anything else you’ve seen in the region.
The premier edition is hosted by radio personality Zeus of WKYS 93.9 FM and DMV creator Alex Elle of Shop-ALS and TheGoodHairBlog. Featured performances from drummer Brother Spanky, R&B Singer Tony T, Comedian Rob Gordon and painter Mars Green.
