In a previous post I told you about FOX’s 2015 Upfronts. It’s their annual media buyer/ reporter meet & greet with their network’s casts and producers in New York. The star studded event wasn’t only entertaining with memorable marketing events, but also informative.empire-fox-upfronts-taraji-gabby-jussie-thebobbypenFrom what I’ve gathered, here’s what you need to you know about FOX’s Fall Line Up

  • FOX is introducing one new comedy-horror anthology, four new comedies, four new dramas and one new event series. The network’s Chairmen and CEO’s say, “We’re infusing next season’s schedule with new ambitious dramas, smart comedies, aspirational unscripted series and big live events and specials.”
  • Tuesday’s are an entirely new lineup, debuting the next three comedies mentioned
  • Two of the new comedies are Grandfathered starring John Stamos (Uncle Jessie from Full House,) and The Grinder starring Rob Lowe (The West Wing) and Fred Savage (The Wonder Years).
  • Scream Queens and it’s all-star cast serves to meld comedy, mystery and horror. Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer are among the anthologies leading ladies. Special Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas are also slated throughout the series.
  • Empire‘s 18-episode season two has already confirmed guest appearances by Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys.
  • Bordertown, a new animated comedy from Family Guy’s Mark Hentemann and Seth MacFarlane, is a satirical look at the cultural shifts taking place in America. Exploring family, politics and everything in between with a cross-cultural wink, the series centers on two very different families living in a fictional Southwest desert town on the U.S. – Mexico border.
  • American Idol will air its series finale January 2016 with returning host Ryan Seacrest and judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr.
  • FOX will air Grease: LIVE, a three-hour production of the massively popular crossover musical “Grease,” starring superstar singers, dancers and actresses Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens on Jan. 31, 2016.
