Elle Varner Live at The Howard Theatre [PHOTOS]

Singer Elle Varner performed a medley of fan favorites from her mixtape “Conversational Lush,” and album, “Perfectly Imperfect,(2012)” at the Howard Theatre.

The 24-year old Varner, performing “I Only Want to Give it to You,” and “Refill” with a live band and three backup singers– two girls and a guy. She also gave us an intimate acoustic performance accompanied by her guitar, singing songs “Damn Good Friends,” and “Leaf.” Between singing songs and shaking fans hands from the stage, Varner thanked DC supporters for “being there since day one.”

To show love, she sang Happy Birthday to a girl in the crowd named Poetry! The crowd loved the 60’s soul sound she projected during that set, along with a tribute to Soul legend Etta James.
