Yesterday, Complex reported that Dream Hampton, a social justice organizer, writer, and award-winning filmmaker took to Twitter to let the world know that Jay-Z has been silently contributing to the movement against Police Violence in Ferguson and Baltimore.

In a series of tweets, the writer outed the powers that be for their systematic financial stronghold against the disenfranchised. “Protest is literally punished with tariffs,” Hampton tweeted.

To dispel those naysayers who constantly toss about the notion that the Carters don’t care about the social injustice that’s come to light in recent months, the Decoded contributor mentioned numerous private, tens of thousand dollar contributions  to ease the burden of posting bail for protestors and other equally impactful donations that are simply “too much to list.”
