Day 15 Update: 30-Day Skincare Challenge for Flawless Fall Skin

It’s been a 15 days since I started this skincare challenge and I have several updates to fill you in on. Some are brilliant, and the results even after 15 days are amazing. While other products fell short of my expectations, but worked well in a different way. Below are my results by product:

Peter Thomas Roth Anti Aging Cleanser

This wash is by far one of my favorite cleansers to use. If your skin is on the drier side or super sensitive, this product is not for you. However, as oily as my skin can get in certain areas the fruit based acids in this wash help to control it.

After one wash, my skin felt smoother and my pores did not feel dried out or built up with dirt & grime. As an added bonus, this wash helped to perk me up a bit with it’s peachy and citrusy scent notes too! Now that I’ve been using this wash consistently day and night I’ve noticed that this wash has helped to train my skin and give my oily tendances a bit more balance.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer

I had very high hopes for this toner at the beginning of this challenge. However, after four days of use I just felt this product left my skin feeling too dewy or weighed down.

I will say that my skin definitely felt softer after using this product. The areas around my eyes and hair line where dryness is most noticeable definitely appreciated the hydrating properties of this toner. So, after five days I began using this product as a setting spray with my make up instead. This tonic spritzer helps to keep my dry areas hydrated all day long even with make up on top.

Since a majority of the beauty products I do use are mattifying, this products helps to even the moisture levels of this on the skin. Since this toner did not deliver the way I had anticipated I did buy a new toner five days into my challenge.

Carol’s Daughter Acai Exfoliating Toner

[row][one_fourth]Pro Tip: Partner this product with an exfoliating cotton round to ensure a deeper clean.[/one_fourth][three_fourths]This product is definitely what my skin needed. With the ingredients acai, meadowsweet, and witch hazel this toner helps to to control my oily and overactive skin. The meadowsweet helps to exfoliate my dry skin, the witch hazel helps to tone, and the acai helps to prevent the signs of aging on my skin. What more can you ask for in a toner? Even though I’ve only been using this product for ten days consistently, I’m already in love with my results.[/three_fourths][/row]

Dr. Dennis Gross Clinical Concentrate Boosters

This trio of clinical serum boosters have definitely help my skin look and feel more supple and less oily. Since I’ve started partnering this product with the Carol’s Daughter Acai Exfoliating Toner, definitely feel the difference when I use the purifying booster on my nose, cheeks, and forehead. My skin feels more taut but, not in over drying kinda way. Also If you know me, you know I love myself a brightening serum, and this DDG Radiance booster is no exception. I already see the spots on my cheeks and chin fading before my eyes. Check back in for my next post to see if these little boosters are working their magic on my skin.

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream

[row][one_fourth]Pro Tip: Apply this moisture with a flat foundation brush. Not only does it help control the amount of product you use but, it ensures an even coverage.  Also, it prevent contaminating your moisturizer with dirt or bacteria that may be on your fingers. [/one_fourth][three_fourths]This moisturizer just feels great on the skin. I remembered why I fell in love with it. Other than feeling great on my skin and leaving my skin touchably smooth, I can’t really comment on the other benefits this moisturizer promises quite yet. Maybe I’ll see the difference in my day thirty pictures.[/three_fourths][/row]
Below in the gallery are my day 1, day 7 and, day 15 pictures. I already see the changes. Have you embarked on this Fall Skincare Challenge with me? Share you successes and challenges below. As always stay priceless penpalz!
