US weekly confirmed, after Bossip, the two-week long rumor that the “Motivation” singer, Kelly Rowland is in fact engaged to her manager and now fiancé Tim Witherspoon.

Sources told US Weekly,

“She has been showing [the ring] off to friends and family and is very happy.”

The Internet first went crazy November 15th when multi-platinum songwriter/ producer Patrick “J. Que” Smith posted a video of the former Destiny’s Child member wishing her “nephew” a happy birthday on Instagram. The video below shows a quick glimpse of auntie Rowland wearing a diamond ring on her left hand.

Speedy bloggers hopped on the story and, yesterday Bossip reported that the rumors were true.

Congratulations to Kelly Rowloand and Tim Witherspoon. This will be Rowland’s first marriage. In 2005, only two moths before her planned wedding, Rowland and then fiancé NFL player Roy Williams split. I wish this new union much success and a lifetime of happiness!
