Let Twitter Tell it…

Straight from the timelines of Twitter and Instagram, the 2013 DC or Nothing Turkey Drive, held at Bar 7 Nightclub on Saturday, November 23, saw huge support for local community activist Tony Lewis, Jr.’s philanthropic efforts.

As the flyer was updated closer to the event, sponsors expanded to include Lewis’ nonprofit efforts DC or Nothing and Sons of Life, as well as Wale and his local label The Board Administration, DJ Quicksilva and wife I Am Super Gorge, Project Giveback and last but not least, the event’s on-site chef Kitchen Cray.

I got there in just enough time to miss all the fun, but to see happy families walking away with large turkeys and bags of side dishes to serve on Thursday’s Turkey Day. It was a pleasure to feel the energy in Bar 7 and see the positive impact this drive made on so many people.
