DMV chicks are the bossiest. I got to catch up with singer and Reality TV star Brave Williams at DC’s House Studio. The doll joined me to dish on her new cast mates on TV One’s R&B Divas Los Angels, where she links up with fellow Baltimore artist Lil’ Mo.
She also explained to me how she came to music from spoken word, and sung for me the first song she had ever written at 15 years old. We’re excited to get into her first solo after since the demise of girl group RichGirl which also featured R&B singer/songwriter Sevyn Streeter.
I had a ball getting to know this beauty, and learning that she is spiritual, drawing from “something greater”– that’s how she stays grounded in the midst of the entertainment industry’s madness.
Check out our interview here and watch her video for “Ooh Luv Ya.” Also, tune into TV One every Wednesday at 10 P.M. EST for R&B Divas LA staring Chrisette Michelle, Michel’e, Chante Moore, Lil’ Mo and newcomer Stacy Francis (best remembered from Fox’s X-Factor.) Brave tells us it’s going take you for a ride!
