When pro athletes and philanthropy link up, there’s no limit to the joy they can bring the community together during Super Bowl weekend.

Before attending Pittsburgh Steelers’ All-Pro widereceiver, Antonio Brown‘s annual DraftKings Super Slam Celebrity Basketball Game on Friday (Feb. 3,) many guests flooded the Super Slam Pre-Game Mixer at Tracy McGrady’s clothing store, Sole Lounge, in downtown Houston from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

As a former Houston Rockets player, McGrady is a long-term partner to Adidas who gives back to the community through many philanthropic efforts, both in Houston and around the world. One of his most successful entrepreneurial efforts, Sole Lounge, which opened in 2014 is now home to exclusive designer men’s shoes as well as high profile clothing brands.

The pre-game mixer at Sole Lounge was hosted by Washington Redskins player Jordan Reed, Baltimore Raven’s wide receiver Randy Hymes, and Free-agent Joshua Morgan. Plus it featured athletes, celebrities and entertainers who brought an electric atmosphere to the event.

During the mixer there were gift card and backpack giveaways to kick start the charitable weekend. There were also a limited amount of students with perfect attendance and honor roll achievements who were honored during the event – grades K-12.

The pre-game mixer was a great opportunity to relax, unwind and prepare for Antonio Brown’s celebrity basketball game at the Joe K. Butler Sports Complex in Houston. Part of the proceeds from the basketball game will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston. These legendary athletes love a fun filled game of hoops for a great cause.

Brown is one of the NFL’s best wide receivers. He has won countless awards including Dapper Dan Sportsman of the Year Awards, Variety Magazine’s Sports Personality of the Year, NFL All Pro, Pittsburgh Steelers MVP of the year and many more.

Brown is also known as a philanthropist who loves giving back to the youth, hosting charity fundraisers and joining causes that are geared towards the youth in the community. He has been in countless NFL commercials and featured on the most recent season of Dancing With The Stars.

The Pre-Game Mixer was a great start to an action packed night of charity basketball fun. Everyone who is anyone showed up just to be apart of the exhilarating atmosphere.

The mixer and the celebrity basketball game brought sports fans together one last time before the big Atlanta Falcons vs. New England Patriots feud began on Sunday during Superbowl 51.
